And I’m done!

After nearly 5 months on the road my journey has finally come to an end. Reaching Bluff has been an
obsession for so long that it is difficult to put my feelings into words. Tiredness, relief, pride, disbelief,
excitement and profound melancholy are all taking their turn and will take some time to work through.

Not for the first time in the course of writing this blog, I don’t really know what else to say. This time
though, I have the luxury of time before committing anything to text. Once the dust has settled I will sit
down and attempt to pen an epilogue for this journey. I’m not 100% sure how to summarise a holiday that
became an adventure, which became a lifestyle, but that is a concern for another day. For now I would
just like to say some richly deserved thank-you’s.

Firstly, to everyone who donated to my chosen charity, Sane. Your generosity and compassion have been
my greatest inspiration. Those dark times when I have been exhausted, miserable and wanting nothing
more than to quit, your support has been a light in the dark.

I am also incredibly thankful for the company of those whom happy circumstance led me to meet along
the road. This adventure would have been a far poorer thing without their generosity, humour, inspiration
and friendship.

It seems only fitting that my final thankyou is reserved for everyone who has read and commented on this
blog. I never really expected anyone to read it, but knowing that people have been taking an interest in
my adventure has been a truly huge encouragement.

Thank you all.

Until the next time…
